Fourfolic Tablets

Fourfolic (Quatrefolate), 4th generate of folate is the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and is structurally analogous to the reduced and active form of folic acid. Quatrefolic is endowed with long lasting stability as well as a peculiarly high water solubility, improved bioavailability and well established safety.

Description

Fourfolic is a dietary supplement for folic acid deficiency. It is useful to provide the nutritionally active form of folate during preconception, pregnancy and lactation.

Fourfolic tablet is indicated for use in:

  • Pregnant women for prevention of neural tube defect in babies. To
    prevent risk of spontaneous abortions,
  • In infants, children and adolescents as a critical nutrient required
    to prevent anemia & for the active growth of human cell,
  • As a dietary supplement in adults and older people,
  • In hyperhomocysteinemia,
  • As a supplement to overcome deficiency caused by some medicines (e.g. those used to treat epilepsy such as phenytoin, phenobarbital and primidone), by long-term red blood cell damage or kidney
    dialysis,
  • In Depression, Cognitive impairment, Dementia and Alzheimer’s
    disease.
